One of the perks of building your own house is building it for your needs. This retired couple had certain disabilities that they needed to accommodate in their retirement home. This concrete masonry home (CMU) home was chosen to help with allergy issues. Zero entry to the shower, between rooms, and even outside accommodated mobility issues. Also they chose styles from previous homes they loved to incorporate into their final home. They even had an antique kitchen light from a former home they had installed in their new home. The wife looked forward to landscaping and creating her backyard oasis herself and wanted us to only install proper draining and weed fabric in the backyard.
